The view from the second floor. Looks much smaller than you'd expect a mall to be, but it was the wonder of the ages when it was built.
It's had its bad phases and good times; after a hit when the monstrous Mall of America opened to the south, and the loss of an anchor, it's coming back. Or so the owners insist. It has a new anchor, and the food court is being redone.
The idea of returning it to its 1950s style - chic and slightly whimsical, human-scaled - has occured to no one in a position to do anything about it.
