The Fair 2012 from James Lileks on Vimeo.

Every year at the Fair I give myself a challenge: shoot the Midway at twilight, take the bus to the shuttle lot, drive home, edit the video AND compose a soundtrack. The editing-and-composing takes about two or three hours, and I’m usually done by one AM. The trick is to find something new, and the Fair usually obliges - either a new ride, or a new view I hadn’t thought about before.

The reference to the “Stratosfear Repairman” had to do with the ride’s high-profile failure, leaving people stranded in chain-link chairs in the sky for 40 minutes. No thank you.
