The Comic Cavalcade ran from early 40s to the mid 50s, and featured the stars of DC’s non-Superman / Batman lineup: Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and ol’ Hubcap Head himself, the Flash. The covers appeared to be a conscious effort to drive off boys over 14, perhaps to concentrate their attentions on war comics; no one over 14 wanted to be associated with something as lame as this. It’s like they all lived in a Super Clubhouse in the back yard and only let Wonder Woman in because she said she thought girls were stupid, too. (Hah! As if.)
